Apple has launched AppleCare One in the UK, expanding from its US debut. This new subscription service allows British customers to safeguard multiple Apple devices under a single plan, offering simplicity and potential cost savings.
Priced at £16.99 per month, AppleCare One provides coverage for up to three eligible devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. In the event of accidental damage, loss, or theft, Apple will either repair the device or offer up to three replacements per year, depending on the nature of the claim.
AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ by enabling customers to protect multiple products with a single subscription, consolidating costs. According to Apple, individuals covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing separate AppleCare+ plans for each device.
Notably, AppleCare One allows customers to add eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This flexible feature surpasses the usual 60-day timeframe for acquiring AppleCare+ after device purchase.
Customers upgrading their devices can seamlessly transition under AppleCare One. When trading in a covered device and acquiring a new one from Apple, the old device is automatically removed from the plan, and the new device is added without complications.
Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing, Bob Borchers, expressed that AppleCare One offers a simpler and more flexible way for UK customers to enjoy the trusted protection of AppleCare+, providing peace of mind with comprehensive coverage for all eligible products under one plan and price.
