A deceased individual has been discovered in the search for a 14-year-old boy who went missing in Co Meath.
Benjamin Spot, aged 14, was reported missing on November 19 after he was last observed biking from Market Square in Navan towards the Kentstown Road/Ramparts area at approximately 5:55 pm on the same day. His bicycle was located at the Ramparts the subsequent day, November 20.
Police authorities made a public plea, expressing concern for Benjamin’s well-being, along with his family. Known as ‘Beni,’ he was described as roughly 5 feet 1 inch tall, with blond hair and blue eyes. A significant search mission was initiated along the River Boyne following his disappearance.
In a saddening update this evening, law enforcement verified that the missing persons’ appeal has been terminated subsequent to the discovery of a body in Co Meath, as reported by the Irish Mirror.
A spokesperson conveyed to the media: “After finding a body in Co Meath earlier today, our appeal for 14-year-old Benjamin Spot, who was reported missing in Navan, Co Meath on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, is now concluded. An Garda Síochána appreciates the media’s support. No further actions are necessary at present.”
