Bueckers had a remarkable turnaround in the third quarter, going 4 for 4 from both the field and the free-throw line after a scoreless first half where she missed all seven shots. Arike Ogunbowale contributed 21 points, setting season highs in free throws and attempts by making 13 of 14, while Alanna Smith recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Awak Kuier also chipped in with 14 points.
Despite missing key players such as All-Star Jessica Shepard and rookie No. 1 draft pick Azzi Fudd due to injuries, the Wings managed to end their three-game losing streak, the longest of their season. Marina Mabrey led the Tempo’s comeback attempt with 23 points, 14 of which came in the fourth quarter.
Bueckers excelled with eight assists and three steals, making crucial plays down the stretch to secure the win. Laura Juskaite and Kia Nurse stood out for Toronto, scoring 18 and 16 points, respectively, in the absence of starters Brittney Sykes and Julie Allemand.
