Police responding to distressing screams at the residence of siblings Ariada Korol and Leonid Greyser in Moscow in 2019 were met with a shocking scene. Greyser, then 18, was found naked, praying to be freed from Satan, while his sister had been fatally stabbed with demonic symbols painted in blood on her body. Greyser calmly admitted to the murder, stating it was necessary and claiming he had to do it.
Greyser explained that he had consumed drugs which led him to believe his sister was possessed by the devil. Despite describing their relationship as perfect, he showed no remorse for his actions, believing that killing her would improve the situation. In a bizarre turn of events, Greyser attempted to escape during a court appearance, causing a commotion as he tried to flee.
Ultimately, Greyser was deemed criminally insane and ordered to undergo treatment at a psychiatric facility. The guards responsible for his failed escape were subsequently dismissed. Vladimir Kotskovich, a company CEO, criticized the security measures in courtrooms, highlighting flaws in the system that allowed such an incident to occur.
