NHL Mourns Loss of Journalist and Children

The National Hockey League has announced the tragic passing of journalist Jessi Pierce and her three children in a fire incident at their home in Minnesota. Condolences and tributes are flooding in for Jessi Pierce, Hudson, Cayden, and Avery.

In an official statement released on Sunday, the NHL expressed their deep sorrow: “The entire National Hockey League community extends its thoughts and sincere condolences to the Pierce family following the loss of Jessi Pierce and her three young children. Jessi was a dedicated member of the NHL.com team for ten years and had a great passion for our sport. She will be greatly missed.”

Responding to an emergency call just before 5:30 am on Saturday, the Fire department arrived at the scene in White Bear Lake to find flames engulfing the house. Tragically, an adult and three children were found deceased, and an investigation into the fire’s cause is currently underway.

The Minnesota Wild organization also shared their grief, stating: “The Minnesota Wild is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Jessi Pierce and her children. Jessi was a compassionate individual who deeply cared for her family and community. She was a devoted advocate for hockey during her coverage of the Wild and NHL. Jessi and her children will be dearly missed. Our heartfelt condolences go out to their loved ones.”

Kristen Krull, co-host of the Bardown Beauties podcast, paid tribute to Jessi, saying, “Family isn’t always biological, but those you choose, and that perfectly describes Jessi. She was like a big sister to me, exuding confidence and a remarkable ability to connect with everyone. She had an incomparable work ethic and a huge heart. Whenever I needed support, a listening ear, or a friend, she was always there without hesitation. Above all, she was a loving mother who adored her family and children.”
