“Nightclub Security Accused of Assault on Winnipeg Sea Bears Player”

Three security personnel at a nightclub in downtown Winnipeg have been accused of assault following a serious injury sustained by a Winnipeg Sea Bears player earlier this month, according to authorities. Teddy Allen was hospitalized after an altercation at the nightclub during the early hours of August 3, as confirmed by the Canadian Elite Basketball League team. The individuals involved, aged 35, 37, and 58, who were employed at the venue, were taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with assault causing bodily harm. They have since been released on undertakings, as per a police news release issued on Thursday. While the police did not disclose the specific nightclub location, they mentioned that it was situated on Main Street, between Portage and William avenues. Allen, in a statement relayed by the team on Thursday, mentioned that he has undergone medical assessments, received a diagnosis, and is currently recuperating at home.
