In the latest FA Cup third-round draw, notable clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool learned their upcoming opponents. The draw, conducted on Monday, included all 20 Premier League teams and 24 from the Championship.
Joining the mix are non-league teams such as Macclesfield, Weston-super-Mare, and Boreham Wood, with the latter awaiting the winner of a second-round tie between Brackley Town and Burton Albion.
Macclesfield secured a home fixture against last year’s champions, Crystal Palace, while Weston-super-Mare will travel to face Grimsby. Chelsea will face Charlton Athletic, while Arsenal is set for a journey south to Portsmouth.
Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool will all host their matches, with City playing against Exeter, United facing Brighton, and Liverpool welcoming Barnsley to Anfield. Derby County will clash with Leeds United in a match steeped in historical significance.
The draw was overseen by Joe Cole and Peter Crouch, with matches scheduled for the weekend of January 10 and 11. The winners of third-round ties will receive £121,500 in prize money, while losers will take home £26,500. Matches selected for live TV coverage will bring in additional revenue.
For football enthusiasts, Sky’s Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle now includes HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, Hayu, 135 channels, and comprehensive coverage of the Premier League and EFL.
