The community has resorted to a system where someone is always present to monitor the situation, even avoiding simultaneous absences for vacations.

Reflecting on the aftermath of the Canada Day flooding, City officials revealed that the College, Bay, and Knoxdale-Merivale wards bore the brunt of the damage to basements and yards. Knoxdale-Merivale Coun. Sean Devine, after engaging with affected residents, echoed their demands for increased assistance and support.
