“Apple Releases Update to Fix Wireless Charging Issue”

Apple has rolled out a crucial update for iPhone users to address an issue hindering wireless charging on some devices. A small number of users have experienced difficulties with wireless charging, resorting to using MagSafe for powering up their phones. Although Apple notes that only a limited number of users have been impacted, it is advisable for all iPhone owners to ensure their devices are up to date.

The affected devices include the iPhone 17 series, comprising the Pro and Pro Max models, as well as the iPhone Air. According to Apple, the update resolves an issue that may impede wired charging on these models when the battery is nearly depleted.

To update the devices, users can navigate to Settings, select General, and then Software Update. The iOS 26.5.1 update will be available for installation. Users can choose to update immediately or schedule it for a later time, preferably during the night. It is recommended to have a Wi-Fi connection or unlimited mobile data as the update file size is substantial at 13.6GB.

Looking ahead, Apple is gearing up for its annual WWDC Developers Conference starting on June 8, where the company is expected to unveil the new iOS 27 upgrade. This upgrade promises a range of new features for iPhones, potentially enhancing the devices’ AI capabilities.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, expressed excitement for the upcoming WWDC event, highlighting the celebration of technology, innovation, and collaboration within the global developer community.
