Auger-Aliassime Suffers Defeat in Cincinnati Open

Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime faced a defeat against American Frances Tiafoe with a score of 6-3, 6-4 during the Cincinnati Open’s fourth-round match on Wednesday evening. Despite serving 13 aces, the second-seeded Canadian struggled with 37 unforced errors. In contrast, Tiafoe, seeded at No. 17, only committed 16 unforced errors and secured the win in one hour and 40 minutes.

In another match, the Canadian-Czech duo of Gabriela Dabrowski and Barbora Krejcikova faced a tough battle against Czech players Linda Noskova and Marie Bouzkova in the third-round doubles match. After a challenging game, Dabrowski, hailing from Ottawa, and Krejcikova were defeated with a scoreline of 6-3, 1-6, 10-7. Dabrowski, who usually partners with Luisa Stefani, teamed up with Krejcikova due to Stefani’s ongoing recovery from an elbow injury in recent weeks.
