Homicide investigators in British Columbia have announced the arrest and charging of two individuals in connection with a gang-related homicide that occurred inside a taxi in Langley last year.
According to authorities, Jared Douglas Polischuk, 35, and Luis Manuel Baez, 29, were taken into custody on Friday and charged jointly with conspiracy to commit murder. The charges relate to a shooting incident in September 2025, during which Taran Pandher, 24, was fatally attacked while traveling as a passenger in a taxi.
Pandher tragically lost his life at the scene near 200 Street and 53 Avenue. Later that same night, law enforcement responded to a vehicle fire in Surrey, which investigators believe was linked to the earlier shooting incident.
Law enforcement officials indicate that the investigation is ongoing, as they suspect the involvement of additional individuals in the targeted shooting, which is connected to the ongoing gang conflict in British Columbia.
No further details have been provided by investigators, citing the active court proceedings related to the case.
