Apple is currently hosting its annual WWDC Developers Conference at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, unveiling a series of updates for its products. The iPhone is set to receive new features later this year, enhancing customization, parental controls, app launching speed, and Siri’s intelligence. These updates are expected to provide significant benefits to users with Apple Intelligence-compatible devices.
Introduced in 2024, Apple Intelligence initially faced challenges with several promised features not coming to fruition. However, the tech giant has been diligently working to enhance this smart service, preparing to release the improvements to the general public.
Scheduled for a September release, Apple Intelligence aims to simplify users’ lives by organizing calendars and offering context-based suggestions in Messages. For instance, if a user receives a message requesting “photos of mum,” Apple Intelligence will promptly display relevant images from their photo library.
Additionally, Safari browsers will feature enhancements like Notify Me, enabling users to track web page changes such as product availability or price adjustments. Safari will also introduce auto-organized tabs based on topics for improved browsing efficiency.
A standout feature is the revamped photo capabilities of Apple Intelligence, allowing for enhanced image retouching, object removal, background extension without Photoshop, and Spatial Reframing for post-photo composition adjustments.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, emphasized the company’s commitment to integrating advanced technology into user-friendly products that prioritize personal context and privacy. The new Apple Intelligence update is slated to launch with iOS 27 this fall, available on select iPhone models including the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 17, and iPhone Air.
