JP McManus now stands as the most successful owner in the history of the Grand National, boasting four wins at the event. Trainer Willie Mullins celebrated his second consecutive victory, having led Nick Rockett to triumph in the previous year.
Paul Townend, who clinched a Gold Cup and Grand National double this season, commented on the win, praising I Am Maximus’ resilience and performance throughout the race. Mullins also commended the horse for its exceptional ride and strategic decision to focus on the Aintree race rather than pursuing the Gold Cup route.
