“Protesters Target Crown Jewels with Dessert”

Police rushed to the Tower of London this morning following reports of damage to a display case housing the crown jewels. A protest group alleged that crumble and custard were thrown at the case. Authorities confirmed the arrest of four individuals in connection with the incident that occurred before 10 am, prompting the closure of the Jewel House for a police inquiry.

The Metropolitan Police disclosed that four people were apprehended for causing damage to a display case containing the State Crown. According to reports, four protesters hurled food at the case before two of them departed the scene.

In an official statement, the Metropolitan Police stated, “Four protestors have been detained for causing damage at the Tower of London. The authorities were alerted at 09:48hrs on Saturday, 6 December, about the damage to a display case housing the State Crown.” The police collaborated with City of London Police and security personnel, leading to the arrest of four suspects on charges of criminal damage. The Tower has been shut to the public as the investigation continues.

The group Take Back Power, self-identified as a “non-violent civil-resistance group,” asserted responsibility for “smothering dessert over the crown jewels.” They circulated an image showing two individuals holding a flag with the message: “Democracy has crumbled – tax the rich.”
