Ryanair Flight Diverts to Lanzarote Due to Toilet Problems

A Ryanair flight carrying British holidaymakers had to change course in mid-air due to a sudden issue. The flight, numbered FR1667, was originally bound for Bristol but had to divert to Lanzarote in the Canary Islands due to reported problems with some of the plane’s toilets. The aircraft, a Boeing 737, was flying over the Atlantic north of the Canary Islands when the decision to return was made, as per flight tracking data. Ryanair was unavailable for immediate comment regarding the incident and whether passengers were able to resume their journey to Bristol or had to stay in Lanzarote overnight.

This incident follows a recent event where a Jet2 flight from Edinburgh to Tenerife had to land urgently after a cabin crew member was reportedly assaulted by a passenger. The Jet2 spokesperson confirmed that police were called to remove the disruptive passenger from flight LS739.
