During a recent broadcast on ITV, presenter Kate Garraway disclosed that four hospitals in England have declared critical incidents due to the high number of flu admissions. Consequently, face masks have been mandated at specific hospital locations.
Daniel Elkeles, the CEO of NHS Providers, highlighted the emergence of a severe flu strain earlier than usual this year. Emphasizing the importance of preventive measures, Elkeles stressed the need for individuals with mild symptoms to wear masks in public spaces, including public transport, to prevent virus transmission.
