Three individuals lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries after being swept into the ocean in a tragic incident in Tenerife. The fatal event took place at a natural pools complex on the Los Gigantes cliffs, where a 35-year-old man, a 55-year-old woman, and another man perished. Additionally, a 39-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries. The emergency occurred when a wave unexpectedly engulfed the victims, causing them to fall into the water. Fortunately, two other individuals managed to reach safety without assistance.
Reports suggest that among the affected individuals were foreign tourists who were vacationing on the island. While unofficial sources claim that an Italian and a Slovenian national were among the deceased, official confirmation of the victims’ nationalities is pending. The involvement of British or Irish nationals in the incident remains unclear at this point.
