“UK Faces Major X Outage with Thousands Impacted”

Recent reports indicate that users in the United Kingdom are facing significant issues with X due to a widespread outage, with thousands of cases being reported.

The downdetector website, which tracks service outages, has recorded 6,375 instances of disruptions, showing a sudden surge in reports around 9pm. Notably, the majority of users (60%) are experiencing problems with the X app, while 36% are encountering issues with the website and only 4% are reporting server connectivity problems.

Numerous individuals have taken to social media to express their frustrations, with comments like “Come On Twitter Hurry Up!” and “Twitter’s Down Again!” highlighting the widespread impact of the outage.

At the latest count, Downdetector shows 138 ongoing reports of X-related issues in the UK, a significant decrease from the peak of 10,425 reports shortly before 9pm.

While the UK has reported the highest number of X outages, similar complaints have emerged from various European countries.

In France, around 925 individuals reported problems around 9pm, while Germany experienced 1,159 cases during the same timeframe. Other European nations, including Spain, also saw minor spikes in reported outages, with no apparent impact on other continents.

A major disruption on X has led to 10,374 reports on Downdetector, with users expressing difficulties in connecting to the service. Comments such as “Here we go again!” and “Error code 524” reflect the frustration felt by many users, although reports of issues have been gradually decreasing since 9pm.

A significant Cloudflare outage on November 18, affecting numerous websites including X, was attributed to a faulty “configuration change.”

Cloudflare’s chief technology officer, Dane Knecht, issued an apology, acknowledging the impact on sites relying on their services. The company explained that a routine configuration change triggered a network-wide disruption, affecting various services worldwide.

Despite rumors of a cyber attack, Cloudflare confirmed that the outage resulted from an internal issue and not external interference. Cloudflare’s extensive network spans over 330 cities across 120 countries.

Last month, many X users faced difficulties accessing the platform, with the issue being linked to Cloudflare’s problems. Other services like Spotify were also impacted by the outages on November 18.

Cloudflare acknowledged the global network issues, stating their awareness of the situation and ongoing investigations to address the impact on multiple clients. They assured to provide further updates as more information becomes available.

Data mapping indicates a widespread distribution of outage reports across UK cities, with the highest concentration in London, followed by Birmingham and Manchester.
